The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center is a top destination for Austin locals and visitors and boasts Texas’ largest collection of native plants in one spot for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy the Center’s stunning gardens and unique architecture with an expert guide to show you the way.
We offer two different guided experiences: public and private tours. Public tours are typically available daily at 10 a.m. and are free with admission. Private tours offer more flexibility and are scheduled by appointment, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m daily, based on your desired time and our availability. We schedule one docent for every 12 people.
Guided tours are $75 for every 12 people plus regular admission per person. Groups of 15 people or more will receive $1 off regular admission per person.
Two weeks’ advance notice is required.
Payments are accepted at the Admissions Kiosk when you arrive (we do not accept payment online at this time).
Coupons and member benefits (free admission) do not apply to guided tours.
Cancellation and No-show Policy
Cancellations should be made no less than 10 business days before the reserved date to avoid the $30 cancellation fee. Groups that do not show up for the reserved date will be assessed a $30 no-show fee. Fee must be paid within 30 days of cancellation or no-show date.
If for some reason you must reschedule your visit, please contact us as soon as possible and preferably no later than 10 business days before your scheduled visit.
Our Wildflower Café offers a variety of sandwiches, snacks and beverages and has first-come, first-served seating for about 30 guests indoors and 40 outdoors. We also have shaded picnic areas where groups can enjoy their own food or box lunches from the Café.
